Privacy Policy

Alexander AI respects your privacy. We do not sell data, do not store images on our servers, and do not share personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Alexander AI, we may collect:

Email address and user identifier (via Google Sign-In)
Access to your Google Calendar — solely for the purpose of adding events
Screenshots you choose to scan — processed and immediately deleted
Basic usage data for service improvement
Expo Push Token for sending notifications

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to:

Identify shifts and events from screenshots
Add events to your Google Calendar
Send push notifications about detected events
Improve model accuracy in the future

3. Images and Screenshots

Images submitted for scanning (through the app or via iOS Shortcuts) are processed in real time by Google Gemini AI and are never stored on Alexander's servers. After extracting the information, the image is immediately deleted.

Alexander supports iOS Shortcuts integration, allowing you to scan screenshots directly from your device's share menu. This is an Apple-approved feature that follows Apple's security and privacy guidelines.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell, lease, or share personal information with third parties, except:

Google Calendar API — to add events to your calendar
Google Gemini AI — for image processing (without storage)
Expo / Firebase — for push notifications
When required by law

4b. Google API Services Compliance

Google API User Data Policy Commitment:

Alexander AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

We only request the minimum scopes necessary (calendar.events, email, profile)
Calendar data is used solely for adding events you extract from screenshots
We do not share your Google data with any third parties
We do not use your Google data for advertising or marketing
Human access to your data is limited to authorized support personnel only when you explicitly request assistance
Your calendar data is stored encrypted and transmitted over HTTPS only

5. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). The server runs on Google Cloud Run with restricted access controls. We apply the principle of minimum permissions for data access.

6. Data Retention

User data (calendar settings, preferences, categories) is stored in Firestore and associated with your Google account. You may request deletion of all your data at any time.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to request:

Access to the personal data collected about you
Deletion of all your data from our system
Correction of inaccurate information

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
